Mallacoota - Hall Upgrade
This project is in delivery.
Updates are provided in the news feed tab below.
The Mallacoota Hall was the relief and recovery facility during the 2019-20 Victorian bushfires.
This project will upgrade the hall to improve its functionality for day-to-day use by:
- relocating the main entry
- addressing existing accessibility barriers
- redeveloping the toilets and change rooms to improve accessibility and functionality
- futureproofing the building to prevent bushfire smoke entering the facility
- creating new internal storage space
- expanding the existing kitchen
- creation of additional community and office spaces
A concept design was produced in collaboration with a local project reference group to meet the funding criteria. Detailed design was completed by a local designer.
This process progressed to construction of a fit for purpose facility using local contractors.
Funding is provided by the Victorian State Government through Emergency Recovery Victoria's Local Economic Recovery Program.
