Which communities is the plan focused on?
Council has a number of Foreshore Management Plans across different communities. This new CMMP will update and combine previous Foreshore Management Plans into a coordinated, Shire-wide Plan.
What other amenities will be included within the design?
Revegetation of foreshore with indigenous plantings, viewing platforms with interpretive signage and seating are to be included within this project.

The shared path alignment allows for usage of existing roadway/paths, increased passive recreation and protection of environmental areas whilst not conflicting with existing foreshore infrastructure.

The intent of the design is not to reduce the number of car parks but to reduce the amount of asphalt and hardscape throughout the foreshore.

As the regional centre, Bairnsdale is the hub used by the whole East Gippsland community and the views of all community members are welcome.

Will the erosion feasibility study look at the entire foreshore erosion issues that extend right along Beach Rd? Also there is no safe walking option along Beach Rd at high tide.
