Expression of interest - East Gippsland Disability Network

Welcome to our expression of interest for the East Gippsland Disability Network.
We are creating a dedicated space for people with disability, carers, friends, family and organisations that work with the disability community to share their views on Council projects and decisions.
We are committed to making it easier for you to have your say and be involved in shaping our community.

Following the expression of interest application process, people will be invited to join a private 'hub' forum on the YourSay engagement platform.

Many people will know that we previously worked with the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) to help guide disability access and inclusion across Council. We are grateful for the advice, support and advocacy they provided over many years. We hope this new approach to engagement will give more people with disability, and those connected to disability, the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and feedback on Council projects and initiatives.

Your input matters

We know that people with disability and access needs can face barriers across our shire. We are committed to reduce those barriers and make it easier for everyone in our communities to participate.

By hearing from you early and often, we can:

• Design spaces, services and programs that are more accessible
• Identify barriers we may not see
• Improve how we communicate, engage and advocate
• Make better, more inclusive decisions

If you have:

• Lived or living experience with disability
• Are a family member, friend or carer of a person with disability
• Organisation or stakeholder representative
