The new Eagle Point Foreshore Hub is looking fabulous!

Hub Building

• The roof cladding and capping are nearing completion.
• All windows and doors are now installed.
• Internal plastering works have begun.
• The concrete stairs and paths on the North side have been laid.
• The concrete base for the bleacher seating now placed.
• Works are progressing on the concrete zig zag access ramp.
• The external timber and steel wall cladding nearing completion.
• The curved concrete seating at the front of the building has been installed.
• Some internal oiling of the exposed timber rafters has taken place.

Car park

Initial line-marking of the new car park is complete.

School Road

Line marking and signage in School Road are complete.

The Playground

The playground has been designed by Enlocus Landscape Architects and will have swings, slides, and some play equipment to challenge young imaginations! Here are some concept images to give you an idea of what to expect -

The new asphalt road pavement and road safety improvement works to School Road have been completed with line marking.

The roof cladding has commenced, and external metal wall cladding has been installed. The installation of window frames and glazing is well underway.

Additional concrete paving has been completed as well as the curved concrete seating. Bleacher seating on the water side of the building is taking shape.

Large rock is being installed to define spaces and to support and retain levels. The rock will be softened by mass native planting and landscaping.

Works are progressing well. Carpenters have started installing floor joists to the cafe floor. The road contractor is filling and compacting the base course.

• The new kerb and channel has now been installed.
• Internal roadworks continuing.
• Water and power trenching completed and pipes laid.
• The steel work to the building has been erected.
• Footings for stairs and external tiered seating have been excavated and prepared for concrete.
• 80 % of the new storm water pits have been installed.

Works at the Eagle Point Foreshore Hub are starting to take shape. Works on the new road and carpark, and construction of the new building are progressing well.

The existing toilet block is now due for demolition with new facilities incorporated in the new building. Council will provide some temporary toilets on the foreshore in the interim period until the new facility is open.

Works are currently on schedule for a September 2023 completion.

The wet weather has continued to hinder progress but this week the sun is out and construction is in full swing.

The brick base has been ordered and drainage pits and pipes are on site ready for installation before the kerb and channel is installed.
