A lot has changed over the past decade and Bairnsdale 2050 will replace the previous Bairnsdale Growth Strategy (2009). Over the past months, we have undertaken a detailed analysis of a range of different factors that may impact our future growth and identified a series of challenges and opportunities which we have organised into seven themes.
You can read more about each theme in our Bairnsdale 2050 Discussion Paper.
Community consultation in relation to the Discussion Paper has now closed. Feedback provided will inform the Draft Strategy.
What happens next?
Council officers are now collating and reviewing all feedback. A considerable amount of feedback has been received and this will take some time to go through. Results will be published on YourSay in the coming months.
To request a meeting or provide further feedback, please or contact the project team at planning@egipps.vic.gov.au
There will be more opportunities for involvement as Bairnsdale 2050 progresses!
Hardcopy documents are available on request at any of our Customer Service Centres.

Council owned and managed facilities include libraries, community hubs, sport and recreation facilities, meeting spaces, and kindergartens. Moving towards 2050, we need to ensure our facilities support our growing population. We also need to use and design our facilities to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
