Swifts Creek Draft Public Realm Concept Plans

The draft concept plans can be viewed here:

Thank you to all who shared feedback on the draft plans. The survey closed Friday 4 April 2025. All comments are being reviewed, before finalising the final draft concept plan.

Objective and Scope

Swifts Creek Public Realm Plan East Gippsland Shire Council is partnering with Fraser Design Collaborative to prepare the Public Realm Masterplan for Swifts Creek.

The Public Realm for Swifts Creek refers to features and places such as the Recreation Reserve, the Skate Park, the Tambo River Playground, Poets Walk, the Swifts Creek Hall and Great Alpine Gallery frontages, and the Great Alpine Road streetscape, including trees and street furniture.

Feedback during initial community engagement helped us identify a range of achievable projects that aim to improve the visual appeal of the township.

We asked the Swifts Creek community what is most valuable, what should be retained, what could be improved and what could be changed.

Funding

This project is funded by the Victorian Government through Emergency Recovery Victoria.
