Lakes Entrance - Aquadome Air Handling Unit Replacement
The Lakes Entrance Aquadome is a facility which provides aquatic and recreational services. Comprising a six lane, 25 metre heated indoor pool, Learn to Swim pool, toddler’s pool, spas and sauna, Health Club, Group fitness sessions and a kiosk/café, the need for a more efficient heating and ventilation solution is required to meet the growing needs of the facility.
Objective and scope
Council has allocated funding to develop and design a fit for purpose hall heating and ventilation system that meets the existing capacity and requirements of the facility.
A suitably qualified consultant has been engaged to complete an Occupational Health & Safety systems assessment and review, with the following work underway:
- Inspect the Air handling unit at Lakes Entrance Aquadome.
- Complete a condition report of the unit.
- Review if current equipment is fit for purpose with the facility.
- Explore and provide recommendation paper for the best Air handling unit system for the Lakes Entrance Aquadome.
- Draft a Scope of works for the system replacement to go out for tender for replacement.
The tender for the replacement of the Air Handling unit is out to market and closes September 2023.
This project is planned to roll out over the 2023 Christmas and New Year period.
