Johnsonville - Harry Clues Memorial Reserve community play space
Updates are provided in the tab below
Creating a play space for family fun and social connection
A new playground will soon be installed in Harry Clues Memorial Reserve, providing space for imaginative play and social interaction.
The need for a new play space was raised by the community – and we listened. Thanks to support from the Victorian Government’s Tiny Towns Program ($50,000), planning is now underway. The play space will be located adjacent to the boat ramp, in the upper level of Harry Clues Memorial Reserve, at the eastern end of the grassed area.
We’ve been working closely with the Harry Clues Memorial Park Committee and the Twin Rivers Community Representative Group, who helped select the location. We are now seeking community input on play equipment and colour choices – and we encourage you to have your say.
Get Involved
As we begin planning for this play space in Johnsonville, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
We anticipate the funding to provide approximately 3 pieces of play equipment – what type of play equipment does your family enjoy? Do you have favourite colours or themes that you'd like to see included?
Your ideas will help shape a space that reflects our community’s needs and creativity.
π‘ Share your suggestions – whether it’s a climbing structure, swings, sensory play, or something unique, we want to know what matters to you.
π Please keep in mind: While we’re delighted to bring this project to life, our funding through the Tiny Towns Program is limited. Some ideas may not be considered due to budget and feasibility.
We’re committed to making the most of this opportunity and creating a space that’s fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
What's next?
- Development of the concept plan
- in-person consultation session – date and time to be advised soon
