Raymond Island - Ferry Park Reserve Upgrade - Stage 2
Consultation has concluded
This project is the second stage of the Raymond Island Ferry Park Upgrade and Koala Trail and Discovery Experience.
Council contractors will upgrade Seventh Parade by formalising the existing gravel car parking with kerb and channel and associated drainage and convert Seventh Parade to a one-way street to provide safer access for vehicles and pedestrians.
Activities within this project will improve the park amenities for residents and visitors, and further enhance the ‘gateway’ to the koala visitor experience on Raymond Island.
Objective and scope
This project will deliver:
- Improved vehicle and pedestrian safety
- Replacement of the old post-and-rail fencing with new bollards
- Upgrade of the current gravel car parking on Seventh Parade,
- A raised pedestrian crossing
Converting Seventh Parade to a one-way street will improve pedestrian and vehicle safety.
