Paynesville - Gilsenan Reserve - Toilet Block Installation
Project updates are provided in the tab below
The construction of a new public toilet facility at Gilsenan Reserve is a step closer following the award of contract to Design Co Builders.
This project will deliver modern, inclusive amenities to support families, visitors, and community groups who use the playground and attend regular market events at the reserve.
The location of the new facility has been carefully selected to align with existing technical services infrastructure and to ensure close proximity to key recreational areas, including the skate park and nearby car parking, making it easily accessible for reserve users and event attendees.
The works are scheduled to take place from late-February to June 2026.
The works have been carefully designed to avoid impacts on the surrounding landscape and will not require the removal of any existing trees or shrubs.
The new facility will include:
- One accessible toilet with a baby change table
- One unisex toilet with ambulant‑compliant fixtures
- One accessible parking space
During construction, temporary traffic management measures and safety signage will be in place. For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask all reserve users, visitors, and event attendees to follow posted signage and traffic management directions at all times.
We will continue to provide updates through this YourSay page as construction progresses and will work closely with local community groups, including the Paynesville Business Tourism Association and Paynesville Lions Club, to help share information more broadly.
These works will provide modern, safe, and inclusive facilities for community use. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while construction is underway.
Project updates will be added to the Newsfeed below, when available.
