The construction contract was awarded to GBM Contractors Pty Ltd.

Construction is scheduled to commence after the Easter break and is anticipated to be completed by the end of June 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.

What’s happening?

The project will deliver upgraded recreation infrastructure at the Marlo Foreshore, improving accessibility, safety and comfort at this popular fishing and community destination.

Works include:

• Replacement of the existing barbeque and shelter.
• New picnic tables and bench seating.
• Construction of accessible (DDA‑compliant) footpaths.
• Upgraded parking, including accessible parking and shared areas.
• New supporting infrastructure, such as bins and bicycle stands.

What to expect during construction

• Access to the boat ramp will be maintained throughout construction.
• Minimal disruption is expected during works.
• Traffic management will be in place to ensure public and worker safety.
