We're updating the East Bairnsdale/Lucknow Precinct Structure Plan to support future housing, infrastructure, drainage and environmental outcomes. Find out what's changing and let us know if you have any questions.
The East Bairnsdale/Lucknow Precinct Structure Plan (PSP), which was originally endorsed in 2013, provides a framework to guide future development within the East Bairnsdale/Lucknow precinct and support the rezoning of land.
A PSP sets out how land is expected to be developed and identifies how services, infrastructure, drainage and environmental considerations will support growth over time.
The updates will ensure the Plan reflects current standards and aligns with drainage planning, and infrastructure works occurring across the precinct.
The updated PSP will help:
- Provide strategic direction for future housing growth in appropriate locations.
- Ensure development is supported by planned infrastructure and services.
- Reflect updated drainage requirements and environmental considerations.
- Give landowners, residents and the broader community greater clarity about the future of the East Bairnsdale/Lucknow area.

Once the final information period concludes, the Plan will be reviewed before the updated Precinct Structure Plan is finalised.
