Why is the Lanes Road Drainage project needed?
The project is needed to address existing stormwater drainage issues in the Lucknow area and to support planned residential growth. Recent housing development has triggered the next stage of drainage works identified in the East Bairnsdale/Lucknow Precinct Structure Plan, helping to reduce flood risk and manage stormwater more effectively.

Some properties close to the project area may be directly affected by design or construction activities. We have been working directly with affected landowners and will continue to provide information and respond to questions as the project progresses. Construction impacts, such as temporary noise or access changes, will be communicated in advance.

The design phase has been partially funded through the Housing Support Program and Council’s budget.
