Our existing Leasing and Licensing Policy needs to be rewritten to remove operational content and provide consistency for the issuing of all agreements on Council-owned and Council-managed Land.

Objective and scope

The draft Leasing and Licensing Policy sets out how we will apply the principles of leasing and licensing including:

  • Maximising community benefit
  • Continue to ensure that all agreements are developed and approved through an accountable and transparent allocation process
  • Ensure that all agreements are subject to appropriate terms and conditions

    We recently asked for feedback on the draft Leasing and Licensing Policy. Thank you to those who got involved, and shared ideas and feedback. Three submissions were received, 139 participants visited the Your Say project page, and positive suggestions were made through the community engagement process. This information will be reviewed and incorporated into the Policy where possible. The Policy will be presented to Council for adoption at the next available Council meeting.

    • The feedback received was positive with suggestions made for consideration into the policy
    • There were 139 visits to the Your Say project page during the community engagement period
    • 13 participants downloaded the draft Policy
    • 4 participants visited the FAQ list on the Your Say project page
    • 15 participants visited multiple project pages on Your Say

    Next steps

    Community feedback, including all views expressed, will be presented to Council for consideration to support the decision-making process.

    The community engagement process has now finished. All feedback is currently being reviewed, with any changes being made to the Policy before Council consideration.
