2022 Project Updates

A meeting was recently held with Project Reference Group (PRG). The PRG is made up of members from LEADA, local traders, the local Federal Member, local residents and the funding body. This meeting has obtained PRG endorsement for Council to commence construction in February 2023 to minimise disruption during the festive season.

• The project has been designed to meet DDA compliance for mobility access is for all abilities, not just children, also adults with mobility concerns, so they can immerse with their children within the play space

• Looking down on design the play space represents a map of Lakes Entrance

• Looking down on design there is old man emu silhouette

• There will be a number of secret surprises placed throughout the space at designer’s discretion

Council are pleased to advise that Contractor Justin Staggard Pty Ltd has been engaged to undertake the design component of this project. The design phase commences in April and is expected to be completed by July 2022. Updates will be provided as they occur.
