Lake Tyers Beach - Skidale Close Reserve Upgrade

Skidale Reserve, adjacent to Lake Tyers Tavern and foreshore, was identified for an upgrade in the Lake Tyers Masterplan.

This project will enhance the reserve by installing new play equipment, seating, paths and landscaped areas which will complement the existing natural environment of the park.

The upgrade will increase visibility into the reserve whilst celebrating the views to the ocean and beach. New lounge style seats will allow users to sit in the sun whilst enjoying the outlook with updated play equipment and nature-based play elements will allow the reserve to be appreciated by the community and visitors alike.

hi Avis, thanks for reaching out to ask a question.
We know how important community spaces like the Skidale playground are, and we appreciate your interest.
Right now, we're in the design phase, working to create an inclusive and accessible play space. This involves thorough assessments and planning, so it does take time.

Thank you for taking the time to ask a question about the upgrade of the Skidale Close Reserve at Lake Tyers Beach.
This project is currently progressing through the design phase. Water play elements have not been chosen for this project, however Foreshore Park opened only a couple of weeks ago in Lakes Entrance and includes a wonderful water play area - Lakes Entrance - Foreshore Park Development | Your Say East Gippsland
