July 2025
The Eagle Point Foreshore Trail project continues to progress, building on the vision outlined in the Eagle Point Structure Plan and the Eagle Point Foreshore Marine and Coastal Management Plan (2019).
The trail will be located within the Eagle Point Foreshore Reserve, managed by East Gippsland Shire Council.
What’s happening now?
The contract for detailed design development was awarded and we are currently preparing for the initial contract entry meeting on site.
As part of the design process, surveyors will be on site from Tuesday 29 July to Thursday 31 July 2025 to conduct level and condition surveys. These surveys are a standard part of the planning process and will help refine the alignment of the proposed trail.
Community engagement
Community feedback has been a vital part of shaping this project. Input gathered through:
- The Eagle Point Structure Plan and Foreshore Management Plan consultations
- A community survey on the draft concept design
- Two engagement sessions held on 19 September 2023
This feedback has informed the concept plan and will continue to guide the next stages of planning and design.
Next steps
Following the completion of site surveys, the consultant will progress preliminary detailed design utilising current vegetation and cultural heritage assessment outcomes.
