Detailed design progressing

The detailed design for Stage 1 is currently underway and is being developed in line with the vision set out in the Eagle Point Structure Plan and the Eagle Point Foreshore Marine and Coastal Management Plan (2019).

This stage of the project extends from the Foreshore Hub through to the Yalca Mews cul‑de‑sac. The foreshore trail is planned as a shared path, combining concrete sections and boardwalks. This approach aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the community, while also preserving the natural character of the foreshore.

Access to existing marine infrastructure

We are carefully considered existing marine infrastructure along the foreshore. The design ensures continued, unobstructed access to the two boat ramps and maintains safe access to the many private jetties located along the trail.

What happens next

• Council engineers will continue refining and finalising the design.
• Ecological and cultural assessments will be undertaken once the design is finalised.
• Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
