Next steps for Brodribb River mooring proposal

Thank you to everyone who took time to share feedback on the proposal to issue a commercial mooring licence for a marine tourism business on the Brodribb River in Marlo.

The feedback received during the consultation period was invaluable in helping us better understand the potential impacts and opportunities associated with the proposal. We have carefully reviewed all the submissions and acknowledge the concerns raised by some community members.

The proponent has now been asked to provide further technical assessments to support their proposal. These will address key areas identified through community feedback, including:

  • Environmental management
  • Site safety
  • Infrastructure assessment

This next phase will ensure that any potential impacts are carefully considered and managed and that the proposal aligns with community values.

Once the additional assessments and plans are submitted, they will be reviewed by Council and relevant authorities. Further updates will be provided here as the project progresses.

We thank the community for their continued interest and input. To stay informed, please click ‘Subscribe’ at the top of the page to receive notifications.
