We are inviting community input on a proposal to issue a commercial licence at the former Paddle Steamer Curlip site on the Brodribb River in Marlo.
The licence would allow a 12-metre sailing catamaran to be moored at the site when not in operation. The vessel is intended to offer guided sailing experiences along the Snowy River estuary and surrounding waterways, contributing to the region’s tourism offering.
We are committed to engaging with the community to ensure the outcome reflects local values and priorities. This proposal presents an opportunity to support sustainable tourism and economic development, and we encourage residents to share their views and help shape the future of this site.
Key considerations include:
The vessel will be moored east of the recreational fishing platform, ensuring continued public access.
No carpark spaces will be impacted, as passenger pick-up and drop-off will occur at other public jetties.
The licensee will be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure is suitable and safe for the vessel.
