Benambra - Township Masterplan
We are working together with Horizon Studio Landscape Architecture to prepare a Masterplan for Benambra.
The Masterplan will identify achievable projects aimed at enhancing the township’s presentation and amenity, and support funding applications for future capital works.
We are now seeking feedback on the draft Masterplan, which is available in the documents section and at the Benambra Neighbourhood House. The draft Masterplan will also be presented in an online forum on 1 July 2025, where all are welcome to attend and provide feedback directly to our consultant.
Simon Jones from Horizon Studio will present the draft Masterplan via Microsoft Teams on 1 July 2025 5:30pm - 6:30pm. |
Masterplan objective and scope
To prepare the Masterplan for Benambra, we will:
- Identify modest, achievable improvement projects for Benambra.
- Engage the community to ensure local ideas and concerns are reflected.
- Provide a strategic framework for future planning and funding.
- Focus on public spaces, streetscapes, and community amenities.
- Incorporate community feedback through workshops and surveys.
- Deliver a practical and visionary plan.
Consultation and community engagement
Feedback provided at a workshop held at the Benambra Neighbourhood House on 7 May 2025 was collated with ideas collected through a survey at the Benambra General Store. Together they have informed the development of the draft Masterplan.
We’re inviting the Benambra community to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns as part of the Masterplan process because your local knowledge is essential to shaping a plan that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the township.
This feedback will help to identify what matters most to you, what improvements you’d like to see, and how we can work together to enhance Benambra’s public spaces and community facilities.
All input will be carefully reviewed and considered in the development of the final Masterplan, ensuring it is practical, community-driven, and ready to support future funding opportunities.
Funding
This project is funded by the Victorian Government through Emergency Recovery Victoria.
