Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and experiences as part of the West Bairnsdale Oval Redevelopment engagement.

Community feedback was collected via YourSay, in-person, and via email from 11 February to 9 March 2026.

50 survey responses were received and strong interest shown from our community.

What we heard clearly reflects a shared desire to strengthen healthy, connected communities by creating public spaces that are safe, inclusive and well‑designed.

Key themes included:

• Need for improved safety, lighting, access and pathways.
• Retaining green space, mature trees and the open character of the oval.
• Support for upgraded amenities and flexible, multi‑purpose spaces that serve both community and sporting needs.

Your feedback is helping shape the concept design, ensuring the redevelopment reflects how the community uses and values this important space.

What’s next
Once the concept plan is finalised, it will be shared with you, and the second round of consultation will begin.
