Council is leading the development of a new four-year municipal health and wellbeing plan, ‘Well placed for Wellbeing 2021-25’. The aim of this plan is to improve the health and wellbeing of all East Gippsland communities.
A framework was released in December 2021 and the full draft plan is now open for final public comment before seeking Council endorsement in April.
Working with our health partners and communities, five priority areas have been identified and strategic objectives for each included.
Various forums have been held across the plan's development including;
Public consultations
Key stakeholder forums
Facilitated working groups
Direct community group and network engagement.
Good health and wellbeing is important. It enables people to participate fully in community life and is essential for a strong economy.
Over 1000 people have been part of the plans development thus far and we are now asking Do we have it Right?
