What’s been achieved so far

• Site preparation & demolition
  In June 2025, site fencing was installed and the old Sarsfield Hall was demolished to make way for the new facility.
• Foundations & structure
  • Site set-out completed
  • Board piers poured with hold-down bolts for a strong foundation
  • Structural steel erected
  • Concrete poured for both north and south ends of the building
• Building progress
  • Roof trusses installed and roof completed
  • Windows installed
  • Brickwork completed
  • Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical rough-in finished
  • Plastering completed and painting underway
  • Joinery delivered and installation commenced
  • Building fully locked up and site cleaned for the Christmas break

Current status

• External drainage works are underway
• Eave and soffit lining continuing
• Wet areas prepared for vinyl flooring

What’s next

The team is currently on a short Christmas break, with works set to resume shortly. Upcoming activities include:

• Final painting and joinery installation
• Flooring in wet areas
• External finishes and landscaping

Looking ahead

Despite a few minor weather delays earlier in the project, the timeline remains on track. The new Sarsfield Community Centre is shaping up to be a fantastic space for the community, and we’re excited to see it nearing completion.
