Revised Masterplan
In response to continued engagement with members of the Paynesville community, the Progress Jetty Masterplan has been updated. This third revision is consistent with a Council commitment made at the meeting of 16 November 2021 to increase the amount of parking spaces included within the Masterplan. The addition of on-street angled parking on both sides of The Esplanade has increased the number of spaces to 42 in this location. This proposal would increase the number of spaces on The Esplanade in closest proximity to local businesses, where there is currently 31. The revised Masterplan proposes an overall increase in parking from 157 to 181 spaces, including the addition of a modest off-street car park at 10 Wellington Street opposite the IGA supermarket and linking to Gilsenan Reserve. Engagement with community will continue as detailed design development and planning is undertaken throughout the first half of 2022.
