The updated Progress Jetty Precinct Master Plan was endorsed by Councillors at the 28 November 2023 Council meeting.

Stage-1 of works will include tree planting along the Esplanade and the connecting footpath between the Yacht Club and the Progress Jetty Precinct. Delivery of Stage-1 will commence in 2024.

Council officers are currently writing a submission for funding to the Commonwealth Growing Regions Fund for completion of both the Paynesville Foreshore and the redevelopment of the Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club. The submission process is significant, and an outcome will not be known until 2024.

Council will allocate funding through the 23/24 budget to complete stage-1 of the Progress Jetty upgrade works if the submission for funding is unsuccessful.
