Progress is continuing at Livingstone Park following the commencement of works in April.

Construction commencement

• Construction contractor Jarvis Norwood mobilised to site on 20 April 2026 and has established the work area.
• The existing (old) spillway has now been safely demolished.
• Excavation works for the new spillway wall and rock apron are well underway.
• Installation of the rock apron has commenced, forming a key component of the new structure.
• Preparations are in progress for the upcoming concrete pour for the new spillway wall.
• Prefabricated components for the new pedestrian bridge have been delivered to site, ready for installation at a later stage of the project.

Council appreciates the community’s patience while these important upgrades are undertaken to improve safety, resilience and accessibility within Livingstone Park.
