Works starting late August 2025

Following further planning to ensure pedestrian safety and secure necessary approvals, works on the Metung Boardwalk are now set to begin in late August 2025.

This important upgrade will renew a section of the boardwalk along Bancroft Bay, improving safety, durability, and accessibility for all users. The works are part of Council’s broader asset renewal program.

Access to the boardwalk will be closed while works are underway. Some carparks at the marina will be used for plant and equipment during the works. The area indicated in the map here will be inaccessible.

We appreciate the community’s patience and look forward to delivering a refreshed boardwalk that locals and visitors can enjoy for years to come.
