Marlo - Triangle Park Upgrade

Overview

The development of the Triangle Park Upgrade Project is to be the result of community collaboration and consultation.

The objective is to create an engaging playground area suitable for a range of ages that complements the natural characteristics of Marlo within the nominated budget range. The playground is to offer fun and excitement along with creating an iconic stop over and activity centre for travellers and locals alike.

A concept plan will be provided for community review and the upgrades proposed include:

  • Upgraded playground equipment.
  • New BBQ and seating facilities.
  • Landscaping to complement the existing native characteristics of Marlo.

Budget

Council currently have budgeted $415,000 for the design and construction of the works.

This amount includes $115,000 State Government funding.

Collaboration

Council is also working with Regional Roads Victoria to implement a safe pedestrian crossing on Marlo Road. The objective of this crossing is to provide a safer connection between the park, primary school and the western residential area.
