We are pleased to inform the community that the Bastion Point groyne wall repairs have recommenced. After completing rock extraction at the quarry, our contractor remobilised back onsite on Monday 24 March 2025. The remaining works are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.
In conjunction with the groyne wall repairs, we will also be undertaking round-two of our dredging works as part of the Better Boating Victoria Grant. This time, we plan to remove the sand using a long reach excavator prior to the Easter and ANZAC long weekends. This method will provide additional data to help us develop a long-term strategy for managing sand egress at this facility.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our community's infrastructure. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
