Project Update 10/11/2021

The Bullock Island bridge replacement projects completion will most likely be delayed due to unforeseen problems encountered during pile driving. Large amounts of buried rock and debris from the previous bridges have caused the 10 metre long concrete piles to skew sideways during the driving process. Council Officers are working with the contractors and design engineers to identify ways to combat these problems and hopefully get the project progressing at full speed. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that the works will be completed by Easter 2022.
