January 2026
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback via our survey and at our in-person session. We appreciate the time and effort taken in providing constructive feedback.
What we heard
Community feedback indicated strong support for a new, inclusive play space at Harry Clues Memorial Reserve that caters to a wide range of ages and abilities, with an emphasis on climbing, swings, slides, and opportunities for imaginative and nature‑based play.
Respondents valued designs that balance younger and older children’s needs, include seating and shade nearby, and reflect the local environment through natural colours and materials.
Additional suggestions included improved accessibility, sensory and water play elements, and practical features such as fencing and landscaping.
Feedback from the in‑person session specifically highlighted a preference for a playground design without roof structures, with participants favouring open play elements instead
What's happening now
Our Community Infrastructure Project Planning team is reviewing feedback received through the survey and onsite engagement session and working closely with play space designers to develop a final design informed by what we heard from the community and responsive to the space available.
