What is the East Gippsland Event Action Plan?
The East Gippsland Event Action Plan will provide a strategic framework to guide the planning, development, and support of events across the shire.
Why is Council developing this plan?
Council is developing this plan to better understand community needs, strengthen the local events scene, and ensure events deliver social, cultural, and economic benefits across East Gippsland.

Your insights will help identify what’s working well, what could be improved, and what new opportunities exist for events in East Gippsland.
How will my feedback be used?
Your feedback will be reviewed and analysed to inform the development of the draft Event Action Plan.
Will my feedback influence decisions?
Yes this engagement is designed to inform and shape the plan. While not all ideas may be implemented, all feedback will be carefully considered.
Will this plan fund specific events?
No. The plan will provide strategic direction and priorities, but it will not immediately fund specific events.
Will existing events be changed or removed?
The plan may identify opportunities to improve or evolve events, but any changes will be considered carefully and involve further consultation where needed.
Is this only about large events?
No. The plan considers events of all sizes, including small community-led events and local initiatives.
When will the plan be completed?
The final plan is expected to be adopted later in 2026.
