Since July, East Gippsland Shire Council has been working with creative sector consultants Future Tense to develop a new Culture and Creativity Strategy for the Shire. This included:

  • Six public forums across the Shire
  • Engagement with Traditional Owner groups and Aboriginal run organisations and services and one First Nations workshop
  • Individual and small group consultations with cultural sector stakeholders
  • An online survey
  • Site visits to key spaces in townships throughout the Shire, and
  • Review of relevant Council strategies, policies and data.

This engagement with our exceptional cultural and creative communities was central to shaping the vision and goals of the Draft Strategy. Thank you to everyone who participated.

The draft Strategy is now available and can be download from the right of this page.

If you have any comments on the strategy, please fill in the survey below. Feedback on the draft strategy closes Friday 27 January 2023.
