FAQs
Why are we doing this project?
Community consultation undertaken during the planning phase of the Benambra Streetscape Improvements in early 2025 revealed a strong preference for reallocating funding toward the installation of a two-cubicle public toilet facility in Dejarlais Park.
How can I learn more about the project?
Project updates can be found here on the Council YourSay page or email your questions to feedback@egipps.vic.gov.au. Please state the name of the project.
What is a concept design?
A concept design is an early-stage visual and strategic representation of a proposed project. It outlines stakeholder key ideas, layout, grant key indicators and features to help stakeholders understand the overall vision.
Will the final project look different from the concept design?
The final design of a project may vary from the initial concept design for several reasons. Some common reasons include technical constraints, statutory standard requirements, geological conditions, regulatory requirements, budgetary considerations, stakeholder feedback, and evolving needs and preferences. Adapting plans to changing circumstances ensures the final product remains relevant and functional.
We will notify you of any significant changes and explain the reasons behind them.
We appreciate your understanding that the final design may differ from the concept. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
What happens to my feedback / comments?
All comments, ideas and suggestions are collated and used by the relevant project officer to inform the development of project, and gain insight into community views and opinions.
When consultation closes, all feedback is compiled by the Project Manager and considered; however, this does not mean that every suggestion will be accommodated.
Follow-up information will be provided to keep you up to date on decisions made, and where to find out anything further.
When will construction commence?
Construction will commence after the design documentation is finalised and approved by East Gippsland Shire Council and the Project Working Group. Construction proposed by 2025 financial year.
