Bairnsdale Wetlands Research Project
Did you know there are many urban wetland spaces in the heart of Bairnsdale?
Wetlands are important for managing storm water but also support biodiversity, and provide habitat for reptiles, birds and many insects. They’re also important for people – for recreation, education, and physical and mental wellbeing.
Jess Obersby, a research student from Federation University, is trying to understand how community members relate to the urban wetlands in Bairnsdale. She wants to know what you think about the wetlands – do you use them? What do you like about them? What could be improved in these spaces?
This is an opportunity for you to share what you care about and help to identify how these wetlands can be best looked after now and in the future. The survey closes 20 December 2024.
Complete the survey online by clicking the button below.
Paper surveys are available at the Bairnsdale Library, 22 Service Street, Bairnsdale.
