Project Update - 3 January 2024

The civil works contract has been formally awarded to Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd.

Council is working closely with the contractors to ensure minimal disruptions to school activities and will advise the school bus companies prior to works commencing.

Works will be scheduled to commence once the contractual arrangements are in place.

Regular updates will be provided directly to the school and also to community through YourSay.

The McKean Street pedestrian crossings are complete. 

The new pedestrian crossings and footpaths now provide a safer environment for Bairnsdale Secondary College students travelling to and from school.

Additional safety measures including tactile markers and Disability Discrimination Act1992 (DDA) compliant footpath crossings offer significant benefits to individuals with restricted mobility, making the area more inclusive for all.
