Works have commenced!
Work has already kicked-off, with the contractor Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd starting the groundwork for new footpaths near the intersection of Anderson Street.
Works will be minimised during peak school times and are anticipated for completion by the end of April 2024.
Appropriate traffic management will be in place to ensure safety for everyone, with very minor delays expected. Visitors to the area are asked to observe construction signage and any directions from the contractor - including following traffic management direction in the precinct during the works.
Access to properties within the worksite will remain open during works and the contractor's crews will work with any impacted residents to minimise any disruptions to their daily routine.

The McKean Street pedestrian crossings are complete.
The new pedestrian crossings and footpaths now provide a safer environment for Bairnsdale Secondary College students travelling to and from school.
Additional safety measures including tactile markers and Disability Discrimination Act1992 (DDA) compliant footpath crossings offer significant benefits to individuals with restricted mobility, making the area more inclusive for all.
