Council has received a request for approval of an amended development plan for land located at 19 Lomandra Boulevard, Lucknow, in the Brookfield Lakes estate.
A development plan is a planning tool which describes the general layout of new urban development in certain locations.
Importantly, if a development plan is approved, it means that planning permit applications for that development area are not open to public objection and rights of appeal to VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal). That is why it is important for Council to seek public comment on any changes to the development plan.
The proposed amended development plan is to change the use and development from a residential subdivision to a residential village and provides for up to 151 sites to be developed with unregistrable moveable dwellings (UMDs). The residential village includes a proposed community centre and a village green space.
