    As required by the East Gippsland Planning Scheme, a Development Plan has been lodged with Council for approval for 54 Thorpes Lane Lakes Entrance.

    A total of 10 plans make up the full Development Plan for the site and these plans show how the land will be developed into the future. For reasons of privacy and copyright, only two (2) of the ten (10) documents have been made available on this website.

    East Gippsland Shire recently commenced a project to undertake a needs assessment of the ideal mix of sporting facilities needed to service Bairnsdale, both now and into the future. Please note: the scope excludes an assessment of aquatic facility needs.

    If you would like to make a submission in this initial round of consultation, you can do so online or in written format.

    Sporting clubs can participate in the survey here. The sporting club survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and needs to be returned no later than 5pm, Monday 21 November 2016.

    East Gippsland residents can participate in the community survey here. The survey should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete, and needs to be returned no later than 5pm, Friday 9 December 2016.

    East Gippsland Shire has prepared information to help homeowners, builders, developers and property buyers to make informed decisions, which will reduce the impact of these extreme events on our homes and investments.

    By understanding the risks, and making informed decisions, we can help build resilience in our region.

    We would like to get your feedback on the climate information and guidance on property level actions presented here. A short survey is available to complete here.

    The feedback process concludes at 5.00pm, 5 December 2016.

    East Gippsland Shire has prepared information to help homeowners, builders, developers and property buyers to make informed decisions, which will reduce the impact of these extreme events on our homes and investments.

  • Lindenow-Glenaladale Road Bridge Renewal Project

    East Gippsland Shire Council will rebuild the Lindenow-Glenaladale Bridge as a part of our capital works program.

    The bridge design phase has been completed and preparation of contract documentation is well underway.

    Tenders are expected to close November 2016 and we will hold information sessions for residents following the awarding of the contract.

    At this stage the Shire expects works to commence in February/March 2017.

    We will keep the community informed throughout the construction process and will use Council's engagement portal, the Coongulmerang Courier, the Shire weekly advertisement and an email newsletter to deliver updates.
