  • Plan for Paynesville’s growth revealed

    Council formally considered and adopted the Paynesville Growth Area Structure Plan at the August 2, 2016 Council meeting.

    For those of you who have participated in the many workshops, forums and online discussions that have helped guide the plans development, a sincere thank you. The plan can now be viewed on the East Gippsland Shire Council website.

    The next steps will be to develop the necessary documents to enable the plan to be inserted into the East Gippsland Planning Scheme. Like all the work to date on the plan, this next phase of work will also be undertaken in... Continue reading

    The early designs for Nicholson Street and its footpaths will make the area safer, vibrant and more connected with other parts of the CBD.

    It includes fixing footpath and road levels on Nicholson Street, building a roundabout at the intersection of Service and Francis streets, tree plantings, and street furniture. Combined, these projects will enhance the walkability of the town.

    The final community consultation phase is now complete. Sign up to receive project updates by email.
